The Mississippi St. Bulldogs countered the LSU Tigers' scoring drive with one of their own. As this is the SEC West, you do not need to guess which sort of score was achieved. It's 3-3 at the end of the first quarter.
As the drive wound down in the red zone, quarterback Chris Relf was forced to call his number over and over again. It sounded like this: "14! 14! 14! 14!" and looked like a truck backing into a wall. Relf has 19 yards rushing on nine attempts.
Missy State had some difficulty with its center-quarterback exchange at one point, with Dillon Day taking over for Quentin Saulsberry, who had to slide to guard to fill in for Tobias Smith. A handful of awkward snaps forced Mississippi State to work harder than it had to on that scoring drive. But hey! A scoring drive.
