LSU Vs. Mississippi State Halftime Score: Good Thing You Don't Like Points

Stay connected with SB Nation

The LSU Tigers lead the Mississippi St. Bulldogs 6-3 after 30 thuddy, clunky minutes of football. That's about the score you'd expect to see in Starkville between these two teams, so at least you're not disappointed. LSU leads the yardage battle, 174 to 117, but not much has distinguished the two teams so far.

Both quarterbacks are playing well, if unspectacular. LSU's Jarrett Lee has completed 13 of his 15 attempts for 128 yards, while MSU's Chris Relf has gone 9-of-11 for 78 yards and tacked on a 14-yard rush, among many other rushes that did not involve any on-tacking of yardage.

The biggest single play of the half was a 31-yard catch by Rueben Randle, who's second to Missy State running back Vick Ballard from the line of scrimmage on the night. Ballard has 56 total yards.
