It's not every day you see a 71-yard screen pass -- but that's what happened when Kellen Moore dumped the ball off to Doug Martin at Boise State's 29 and Martin ran all the way to the end zone to extend Boise's lead against Toledo.
Martin now has almost four times as many receiving yards (93) as he has rushing yards (23) -- and, of course, he has the one touchdown receiving. That single pass also essentially doubled Kellen Moore's passing yardage -- the quarterback is 6-of-9 for 140 yards and two scores. Keeping with the theme of the evening, Dan Goodale missed the extra point.
But Toledo might have some hope. While Boise has forced them off the field on the last two drives, the Rockets have failed to convert only two of third seven third-down attempts. If they're trying to catch up, they just need to avoid the big breakdowns that are ending drives.
