In-state rivals Tulsa and Oklahoma State Cowboys are set to clash for the 71st time in NCAA football history on Saturday night inside Chapman Stadium.

Just two games into the college football season, a pattern has begun to develop at Oklahoma State. When Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon come to town, the scoreboards better be primed for a long night.

The heralded quarterback-wide receiver duo has stormed out of the gate in their senior and junior seasons, quickly establishing themselves as college football's premiere offensive tandem. With the aid of a breakthrough year for sophomore running back Joseph Randle, the Cowboys have already piled up an FBS-best 1,260 yards from scrimmage as they move up to number eight on the AP Polls.

Now Oklahoma State head against in-state rival Tulsa on Saturday night looking for their second-consecutive 3-0 start. The success has come swiftly for coach Mike Gundy's group, and the worry in Stillwater is that the Cowboys may soon become too big for their britches.

The attitude could be a dangerous one to carry against the Golden Hurricane. Led by new head coach Bill Blankenship's offensive attack, Tulsa has taken the reins off fifth-year senior starting quarterback G.J. Kinne, who bulldozed through the NCAA last year to the tune of 3,650 passing yards and 31 TDs. Already with 512 yards and five touchdowns in just two games, Kinne looks to continue his success and upset the visiting Oklahoma State faithful.
