Temple's now done something in 2011 it didn't do against Penn State in 2010: retaken the lead. But leading at halftime? That's old hat.
The Owls answered Penn State's second quarter touchdown drive with a field goal drive of their own, getting a 16-yard completion from Chester Stewart to Joe Jones and a 22-yard run from Matt Brown to set up Brandon McManus' 40-yard kick to make it 10-7.
And then the Owls kept that advantage heading into halftime by blocking a Penn State field goal — set up by the longest offensive play of the day in Philadelphia, a Matt McGloin bomb to Derek Moye for 40 yards — at the half's end.
