Florida Vs. Tennessee Score: Gators Bolt Out Of The Gate

Stay connected with SB Nation

Florida and Tennessee are renewing their rivalry in Gainesville today, and the key match-up before the game was assumed to be Tennessee's potent offense against Florida's talented defense. It turns out that the Vols may have a high-octane attack to deal with, too.

Florida used a no-huddle hurry-up offense to keep the Vols off balance on the first drive of the game, and John Brantley completed all five of his passes for the Gators, finding Trey Burton for a one-yard touchdown pass to finish the drive and help give Florida a 7-0 lead.

The Gators have won six straight games in this series, and haven't lost to Tennessee since Ron Zook was prowling the sidelines in Gainesville.
