The TCU Horned Frogs let the Lousiana-Monroe Warhawks get out to a 17-14 lead at the end of the first quarter, but tightened up on their way to a 38-17 victory. For a moment there it looked like it might be a terrible day all around for TCU -- which might be about to find itself without a stable conference for the future -- so let's feel happy that the Frogs pulled it together.
Josh Boyce was the star for TCU, catching 134 of Casey Pachall's 204 passing yards and his only touchdown toss. The Frogs gave up 314 yards and turned the ball over twice, but managed to hold ULM to 4.6 yards per play.
The box score might not present all that impressive of a victory over a weaker foe, but the final score looks nice. And it certainly could've been more suspenseful.
