In an up in down first half for Miami quarterback Jacory Harris, the Hurricanes lead the Buckeyes 17-6 at halftime. Harris, who has already thrown two interceptions in the game, also has two touchdown passes, both going to sophomore wide reciever Allen Hurns. Hurns and Tommy Streeter both have 29 receiving yards, which leads all Miami receivers.
The ground attack has been just as effective for Miami, with Lamar Miller exploding for 128 first half yards on 15 carries.
The Buckeyes offense has been slow in the first half, connecting on two field goals by Drew Basil Quarterback Joe Bauserman has struggled mightily so far, completing only one pass for four yards.. The Ohio State offense has just 138 yards, compared to 215 by the Hurricanes.
