Oklahoma Vs. FSU Halftime Score: Seminoles D Buying Time For E.J. Manuel

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Oklahoma Sooners take a 13-3 lead into the half against the Florida St. Seminoles after a long interception return by Javon Harris set up a scoring opportunity. But FSU's defense stood tall, forcing Landry Jones from the pocket on a third-and-long attempt and sending Jimmy Stevens in for his second field goal.

With both defenses playing well, each offense got a little bit more creative as the half went along. At one point, FSU ran a reverse that turned into a flea flicker. It turned, as all other things turn, into a short run by Manuel. He has almost as many rushes (seven) as he does completions (eight).

If Florida State's offense can start to make something of its offensive opportunities, it has a chance to even up the score quickly. FSU will get the ball to begin the second half, and has to be happy in the job done by its defense to make it only a 10-point difference.
