Ohio State can't throw the ball. This is not an exaggeration, either. The Buckeyes simply cannot connect on the forward pass, and have instead resorted to some old-timey, single wing football that just leaves the pass out of the offense. And yet, the Buckeyes are still kind of in the game, trailing Miami 17-6.
Adam Jacobi crunched the numbers and came up with OH NO TAKE IT AWAY TAKE IT AWAY.
Through three quarters, Ohio State's team passer rating is 7.3: 2-15, 13 yards, 1 INT. Matt McGloin is still cringing.
The performance has left all of us trying to figure out how, exactly, Ohio State's quarterback play has been so poor. And we think we have an answer.

All of the sudden, everything makes sense. This man's light up shirt is so distracting, so gloriously distracting, that it's stymied the Ohio State passing game. And really, can you blame the Buckeyes for fall--oh look at the lights!
