North Texas is called the Mean Green, but they might be green with envy after their 41-0 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide. What team wouldn't want to pick up a victory by that margin?
For the Crimson Tide, this game was the Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy show. Both runners topped 150 yards and averaged over a first down and one-half per rush. Richardson (11 carries, 167 yards) found the end zone three times, including runs of 58 and 71 yards. He averaged 15.2 yards a carry.
Eddie Lacy didn't want to be left out of the party, which led him to 161 yards on nine carries, a 17.9 average. He was aided in large part by a 43-yard run and a 67-yard one, the latter the final score of the game.
Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron had a quiet night, completing 15-of-21 passes for 190 yards. He will lead his team against Arkansas next week.
