Who is Clint Trickett? We have no time for that. What we do have time to do is marvel at a third-and-forever (28, to be exact) touchdown throw Trickett just made to Rashad Greene, which tied the Florida St. Seminoles with the Oklahoma Sooners, 13-13, in the fourth quarter.
Injured starter E.J. Manuel, who had to leave after finding himself unable to move his left arm, attempted to retake the field, but coaches pulled him back to the sideline. He reportedly has a bruised upper arm.
Trickett has gone six-of-nine for 118 yards in relief, with that 56-yarder the longest play of the game for either offense. Oklahoma didn't prepare for Trickett, and it's shown so far. It remains to be seen whether Manuel will try to reclaim his job again during this game, but FSU might be fine with seeing what Trickett can do for the rest of the evening.
