TCU Vs. Baylor, Video Highlights: Bears Pull Out Win In Final Minutes

If you didn't catch Friday night's game between the TCU Horned Frogs and the Baylor Bears, I feel very sorry for you. You missed an instant classic. Robert Griffin III established himself as an early dark horse Heisman candidate, TCU had eleventy billion different streaks broken, and there was almost no defense played. Really, I'm sorry if you missed it. It sucks to be you.

BUT WAIT! What if there was a way for people who missed the game - or simply those who want to relive the best moments - to watch an edited clip of the game's best moments? Wouldn't that be magical?

Woo

The game was epic from start to finish, but Casey Pachall's last minute interception was a tough way for it to end for TCU football fans. He's a young quarterback who will only get better with experience, but at this point, he's not Andy Dalton.

TCU Vs. Baylor Final Score: Bears Upset No. 14 Horned Frogs, 50-48, On Late Field Goal

For the first time since 2004 when they beat then No. 16 Texas A&M, the Baylor Bears have defeated a ranked team. The No. 14 TCU Horned Frogs have fallen, 50-48. TCU has had several streaks snapped with this loss (per ESPN's on-screen graphic): an eight-game season-opening win streak, an 11-game road streak, a 13-game overall streak and a 25-game regular season streak.

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III was outstanding for the entire game. He completed 21-of-27 passes for 359 yards and five touchdown passes. He found his receivers all night long, especially on the deep routes. However, Casey Pachall and the Horned Frogs rallied in the fourth quarter by scoring 25 straight points on three touchdown passes, two two-point conversions and a field goal. But it wasn't enough.

Griffin's performance must certainly have put him on all the early Heisman Trophy watch lists. Can he continue this success?

TCU Vs. Baylor Score: Bears Reclaim Lead As Kickers Take Over

It's become a kicking game all of a sudden as the Baylor Bears and TCU Horned Frogs march toward a nail-biting finish. After three and a half quarters of non-stop touchdowns and end-to-end action, both teams are relying on special teams, and this has heartbreak written all over it. Remember: these are two teams that have struggled to hit chip-shots so far, and it may just come down to a TCU field goal in the end.

As it stands, Baylor holds a 50-48 lead with just over a minute to go. After TCU marched down the field to take the lead on a field goal, capping a 25-0 run, Baylor answered with one of its own. But with the way these two offenses have played, 1:04 may be entirely too much time.

TCU has a chance, and Casey Pachall has the hot hand, with three touchdown passes in the fourth quarter. And if the end is anything like the rest of the game, we're in for some delicious ham in Waco.

TCU Vs. Baylor Score: Horned Frogs Take 48-47 Lead Late In 4th Quarter

The TCU Horned Frogs looked as if they were finished at the end of the third quarter. After all, they were down, 47-23, and had been shredded by Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin for five touchdown passes. But in the fourth quarter, the Horned Frogs are pitching a shutout and have scored 25 points.

TCU quarterback Casey Pachall has led the Frogs to three straight touchdown drives, all for touchdown receptions. They made the two-point conversion on the first two touchdowns, but failed on the third one that would have tied the game.

However, the Frogs took advantage of a fumble by Robert Griffin III and converted the turnover into points. The offense stalled on Baylor's 10-yard line and had to settle for a Ross Evans 27-yard field goal.

More than four minutes remain in the game. This one isn't over by a long shot.

Robert Griffin III Is Playing A Video Game; Baylor All Over TCU, 47-23

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III has captured the hearts of the college football world, welcoming in the new season with an absolute spanking of TCU thus far. Griffin is other-worldly, carving up the Horned Frogs defense and giving the Bears a 47-23 lead in the third quarter. He's playing a video game on rookie and making it look so, so easy.

First, the measurables: 17-20 for 327 yards and five touchdowns. Again, it's the third quarter and this is the TCU defense. This doesn't happen to the TCU defense. And this isn't Griffin running around and making plays with his feet, either -- the Baylor quarterback is throwing an absolutely beautiful ball, especially on deep routes.

Kendall Wright and Terrance Williams have been all too happy to take advantage of Griffin's prolific display. Wright has 10 catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns while Williams has four catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Not to belabor the point any further, but words can't express how well Griffin is passing.

Whatever, let's just start this now: Robert Griffin III for Heisman. I don't care that it's Week 1, just hand him the trophy for the endless entertainment he's brought to America this evening.*

*Yes this is extreme hyperbole and we're not even ashamed of it.

TCU Vs. Baylor Score: Robert Griffin Brings Lead To 47-23

Robert Griffin III has been torching the TCU secondary all game long. The Baylor Bears quarterback threw his fourth touchdown pass of the game when he connected with Lanear Thompson for a 64-yard gain. And kicker Aaron Jones missed the extra point, giving the Bears a 40-23 lead. That was just a three-play drive for the Bears and took just over a minute to complete.

He then followed a short time later with his fifth touchdown pass on a 42-yard throw to Terrance Williams. Jones made the extra point for a 47-23 lead. Griffin is 17-of-20 for 327 yards.

This game is completely different from last year's lopsided victory by TCU. The Horned Frogs won that game, 45-10. They held a 35-3 halftime lead and extended that to 38-3 before the Bears got on a touchdown on the board following a Griffin touchdown pass.

TCU Vs. Baylor Score: Robert Griffin, Kendall Wright Lead Baylor To 34-23 At Halftime

It was an offensive explosion in the first half between the Baylor Bears and the TCU Horned Frogs. The Bears have surprised all as they lead the Horned Frogs at halftime, 34-23. The two teams have combined for a 57 points and 570 yards of total yards so far.

Baylor started the scoring with a wide receiver pass from Kendall Wright to Terrance Williams in the opening minutes of the game. But ever since then it's been a battle to change the lead. There have been six lead changes so far. However, the Bears have scored the last two touchdowns to reach an 11-point lead.

Wright has been the offensive MVP of the game with nine receptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns. That's in addition to the 40-yard touchdown pass he threw to start the game. Quarterback Robert Griffin III has three touchdown passes and 209 yards in the air.

One of the more amusing events in the first half was when TCU's offensive line committed a false start. The referee announced a false start penalty on "everyone but the center."

According to Sports Illustrated's Stewart Mandel, Baylor is just 3-51 against ranked teams since the beginning of the Big 12. If Baylor can pull off the upset over No. 14 TCU, this will be their first win over a ranked team since 2004.

TCU Vs. Baylor Score: Terrance Ganaway Puts Baylor Up, 34-23

The Baylor Bears are mauling the TCU defense on Friday night, 34-23. Terrance Ganaway completed an eight-play, 76-yard drive with a two-yard touchdown run. But there was question on an earlier catch by Kendall Wright, the offensive player of the game so far. Wright caught the ball a few yards before the end zone, but the play needed to be reviewed.

Because it was ruled a catch on the field, there needed to be visual evidence to dispute the call. It was tough to determine if he had possession of it with his left foot in bounds before his right one hit the white of the sidelines. As a result, the play stood, leading the way ot another touchdown.

According to College Football Talk, TCU has allowed more than 34 points just five times in the last six seasons. We still have the second half to play.

TCU Vs. Baylor Score: Robert Griffin Throws 3rd TD Pass; Kicker Misses Extra Point

There's no quit in either the Baylor offense or TCU's. These teams are trading touchdowns as if they are about to go out of style after this game. Fifty seconds after the Horned Frogs kicked the ball to the Bears, Baylor found itself in the end zone again.

Bears running back Terrance Ganaway came up with runs of 15 and 10 yards before quarterback Robert Griffin III found Jordan Najvar for a 14-yard touchdown pass. Aaron Jones, though, had his extra point attempt blocked. The Bears took a 27-23 lead.

TCU failed to convert a field goal on the following drive. The ball was wide left of the upright. The Horned Frogs were able to convert a fourth down earlier on the drive, but with points left on the field that doesn't mean much.

TCU Vs. Baylor Score: Kendall Wright Impressive For Baylor, But TCU Leads, 23-21

Scoring is definitely not a problem for either the Baylor Bears or the TCU Horned Frogs, but this back-and-forth scoring has certainly been a surprise. The Bears can thank wide receiver Kendall Wright for that, as he has been involved in all three Baylor touchdowns. On his latest one, Wright caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Robert Griffin III.

Wright started the scoring with a 40-yard touchdown pass to Terrance Williams in the opening minutes of the game and followed that with a 35-yard touchdown reception toward the end of the first quarter. TCU head coach Gary Patterson certainly wasn't expecting his defense to allow this many points this early.

However, TCU quarterback Casey Pachall answered right back with a four-play, 60-yard drive that resulted in a 23-yard pass to Logan Brock. The Horned Frogs, who had added a field goal at the end of the first quarter, lead the Bears, 23-21, after the fifth lead change of the game.

TCU Vs. Baylor Score: Robert Griffin Finds Kendall Wright For 35-Yard Touchdown, 14-13 Lead

Despite missing the extra point on their first touchdown, the TCU Horned Frogs took a brief lead following a four-yard touchdown run by Matthew Tucker. Quarterback Casey Pachall completed a 38-yard pass to Josh Boyce for a first down and a spot at the Bears' four-yard line. Ross Evans made the extra point for the 13-7 lead over the Bears.

Baylor's offense had stalled since that opening 72-yard scoring drive. They punted twice in their next two drives. However, on the drive following TCU's second touchdown, Robert Griffin III did come up with a big 32-yard pass to Kendall Wright, who had thrown the Bears' first touchdown. A few players later, Griffin found Wright for a 35-yard touchdown and the eventual 14-13 lead.

Wright, though, picked up a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after the play was over. Greg McCoy brought TCU within Baylor's 25-yard line.

TCU Vs. Baylor Score: Bears, Horned Frogs Exchange TDs In Opening Minutes

Robert Griffin III and the Baylor Bears wasted no time reaching the end zone against cross-town rival TCU. Just two minutes into the game, the Bears used a trick play to score the game's first touchdown. Griffin took the snap and threw the ball to wide receiver Kendall Wright, who found a wide-open Terrance Williams for 40-yard touchdown. The TCU secondary was confused before the snap and blew its coverage assignments once Wright made the forward pass.

On the ensuing kickoff, the Horned Frogs' Greg McCoy returned the ball for 73 yards, winding up at the Bears' 15-yard line. After a six-yard run by Matthew Tucker, quarterback Casey Pachall, taking over for Andy Dalton, scrambled for nine yards and the touchdown on the next play. However, the extra point attempt by Ross Evans was blocked.

Baylor leads TCU early in the game, 7-6.
