Arizona State was dealt a serious blow on Tuesday when it was learned that defensive standout Junior Onyeali could miss six weeks, or even the entire season, with a meniscus tear in his knee. The injury comes at a particularly inopportune time, as the Sun Devils are coming off their first loss of the season and are gearing up for Saturday's game against USC.
The sophomore defensive end was named the Pac-10's Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2010. He led all freshmen with 6.5 sacks and registered 11.5 tackles for a loss. In three games this year, Onyeali had registered five tackles, two of them for a loss, and one sack.
