Georgia OL Kolton Houston Faces Unspecified 'NCAA Issue'

Reserve player is involved in 'an individual case' that Bulldogs hope will be taken care of.

With the conference realignment saga apparently winding down, it's time for college football fans to focus on more appealing issues. You know, like NCAA issues -- the kind that have apparently sidelined Georgia reserve offensive lineman Kolton Houston. Houston is being benched for NCAA of some sort, though officials like head coach Mark Richt aren't saying exactly which sort.

"Just an NCAA issue is all I can say," Richt said. "It's an individual case that we're not going to get into details about. But it's NCAA-related. We think it's going to get cleared up. We just don't know when."

That's a pretty broad range. As we've learned over the last year, NCAA issues include selling jerseys, lying to NCAA investigators or doing things that very few rational people would see as grounds for benching. So the guidance from Richt is not particularly helpful in telling us what, if anything, Houston allegedly did wrong.

And Houston is being surprisingly circumspect on his Twitter account for a college football player.

Feeling alot of different emotions right now... I don't know how much longer I can do this.
