Oklahoma gets a slightly easier game this week, hosting Missouri in Norman
First bullet dodged. The Oklahoma Sooners won their first big game of the season against Florida State last week, and now have to deal with a slightly lesser opponent in the Missouri Tigers. That's not to belittle Missouri, who most people seem to expect to cover the ginormous spread favoring the Sooners, but it's a little less intimidating of a challenge than an away game against Florida State.
The Tigers have one of the top ranked offenses in college football, but that's skewed by the massive beating they laid on Western Illinois last week. Whether or not they can actually put up big numbers against an elite defense remains to be seen. It doesn't feel likely to happen against Oklahoma in Norman, but the Tigers are a good enough team to stop this one from getting embarrassing.
Game date, time: 8:00 p.m. ET, Saturday, September 24
Location: Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, Norman, Oklahoma
TV channel: FX
Spread: Oklahoma favored by 20
