Maryland's made inroads into the collective consciousness of college football in 2011 with a string of garish uniforms. Today, though, the Terrapins are just playing ugly, and have fallen behind Temple in the first quarter.
The Owls, who pushed Penn State for four quarters in Week 3, are all over the Terrapins in College Park, whipping Maryland on both offense and defense. Temple's got touchdown drives of 57 and 76 yards — keyed by long throws from Chester Stewart to Evan Rodriguez — and capitalized on a blocked punt by Rod Streater for a third touchdown in the first period.
Maryland's response? 47 yards of total offense and one third down conversion in six attempts. Ugly could turn to grotesque before long if that's all the Terps have in them today.
