Michigan Vs. San Diego St: Denard Robinson Outscoring Aztecs, 21-0

Stay connected with SB Nation

After rushing for a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter, Denard Robinson added a third just before halftime, faking the handoff to running back Fitzgerald Toussaint before keeping it and sneaking in from the left side. In just two quarters, he's already tallied 140 rushing yards on 12 carries.

He's passing just enough to keep San Diego State honest, connecting on five of nine attempts for 40 yards, but so long as the Aztecs keep allowing him to pick up large chunks of yards -- he already has four runs of 10 yards or greater -- there's no reason to change the game plan.

San Diego State, meanwhile, needs to make some halftime adjustments before this game gets completely out of hand. They've been able to move the ball, evident by eight first downs, but Michigan's defense is holding firm when it matters. Ronnie Hillman has tallied 56 yards on 13 carries, but his lost fumble resulted in Robinson's second TD of the day, a 53-yard run in the first.
