D'Anton Lynn suffered what seems to have been a rather serious injury on Saturday afternoon as his Penn State Nittany Lions faced off against the Eagles of Eastern Michigan. The senior cornerback was carted off the field after attempting to make a tackle.
Word on the field, according to the doctors that put him on the stretcher, is that the reasoning for carting him off the field was precautionary and he had movement in his extremities. The scene as Lynn was taken off the field was still chilling, however.
Lynn is an integral part of the Penn State defense, having started every game since his sophomore year. That streak will almost certainly be snapped next week, however, as he recovers from what looked to be a serious injury at first glance. The Penn State defense will also be hurting as Lynn has been named an Honorable Mention All Big Ten performer the past two seasons.
