At least DeSean Jackson was trying to look cool by dropping the ball behind him as he waltzed into the end zone. Justin Blackmon, the all-world Oklahoma State receiver, simply made a terrible mistake with nothing but daylight in front of him. Had he hung onto the ball, the Cowboys would've taken an 11-point lead late in the third quarter. Instead, he tried to get fancy and ended up fumbling the ball out of the end zone for a Texas A&M touchback.
It was, simply, a bone-headed play. Blackmon had an easy touchdown before he started screwing around with the ball as he walked into the end zone. Instead of the 11-point lead, Blackmon is now in the running for derp of the week, right up there with Tajh Boyd.
Let's check with the Oklahoma State coaching box for their reaction.
Yep, that about sums it up. Derp for days.
