LSU Vs. West Virginia Score: Jarrett Lee, Rueben Randle Strike First

The West Virginia Mountaineers kicked off a rare national showcase with a promising 15-yard pass from Geno Smith to Stedman Bailey, but a penalty set up a third-and-billion. Their punting game, statistically the worst in the nation, lived up to its reputation by gifting the LSU Tigers a 14-yard punt, which set up an 11-yard touchdown pass from Jarrett Lee to Rueben Randle.

LSU receiver Russell Shepard's return inspired Lee to take a shot downfield, but nothing came of it. WVU's defense looks lively, devouring Spencer Ware in the backfield on a second-down play, though they're having a hard time getting off the field. Lee converted a pair of third-and-longs -- both of them right over cornerback Pat Miller.

Randle, who caught one of those conversions, now has 256 yards and three touchdowns on the year.

Most importantly, here's LSU's Sam Montgomery trying to hug a ref.
