The Florida Gators are having an easy time with the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday evening; they hold a three-touchdown lead, 31-10. However, quarterback John Brantley has gone to the locker room to be evaluated. Jeff Driskel took over toward the end of the second quarter.
Brantley was 6-of-11 for 99 yards and a touchdown. He hit Gerald Christian in stride for a 45-yard touchdown in the first quarter for the first score of the game. Running back Chris Rainey and Jeff Demps have been running wild against the Kentucky defense, picking up 84 and 69 yards, respectively. Demps, who is averaging over eight yards per carry with Rainey, ran 20 yards for the next Florida score.
The Gators picked up a touchdown at the start of the second quarter when Jonathan Bostic sacked and forced a fumble. Jaye Howard picked the ball up at Kentucky's two-yard line and took it in for the score.
