FIU knocked off the relatively big Louisville Cardinals and Central Florida Knights in back-to-back weeks after scoring as many points on North Texas as Alabama did, all of which for some reason wasn't good enough to accure the Golden Panthers more than a handful of AP Top 25 votes.
Sure, they were just beaten 36-31 by Louisiana-Lafayette, but you didn't know that was going to happen.
