The West Virginia Mountaineers finally got back on the scoreboard early in the third quarter, with Geno Smith concluding a drive by hitting Tyler Urban for a 12-yard score to make it 27-14. Just before the touchdown, and for the second time this game, a LSU player (Michael Brockers this time) suffered an unconvincing injury as WVU operated from its no-huddle. Coach Dana Holgorsen could be clearly seen on television saying, "That's b-------" while shaking his head.

West Virginia's defense has come back to life as well, forcing a punt. Brad Wing remains LSU's punter, so of course it was a fantastic punt, but Smith has already brought the Eers out of harm's way.
