Joe Adams had a 61-yard punt return for a touchdown in Arkansas' shelling of Missouri State Saturday night. Then he topped himself with a 78-yard punt return that is unlikely to be topped this season.
Adams, over the course of the return, muffs the catch at his 35, retreats to his 16 to pick up the ball, switches field not once but twice, and runs almost 30 seconds off the game clock. Oh, and he scores a second touchdown despite muffing a punt.
It's shades of DeSean Jackson or Dante Hall or Devin Hester, and it's probably the best punt return we will see in 2011. Congratulations, Joe Adams: you have peaked.
