Trailing 20-14 after the half, the Miami Hurricanes took the opening possession of the second half against the Maryland Terrapins and went 62 yards on 9 plays to take a 21-20 lead.
Stephen Morris led the charge for the Canes, completing multiple passes for big gains and driving Miami down the field quickly. He completed the drive with a five-yard run into the endzone.
Not to be outdone, Maryland went on a 14-play drive of their own. It included a 4th-and-1 conversion at the Miami 28 that moved the Terps even closer. Even so, they were only about to muster a Nick Ferrara field goal from 28 yards out to make it 23-21 Maryland.
Maryland QB Danny O'Brien is already 30-of-40 for 265 yards, TD and an INT. With three minutes left in the third, there's still plenty of time for him and both offenses to keep racking up stats.
