Juron Criner Will Miss Arizona Wildcats Game Against Oklahoma State

When the Arizona Wildcats take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys this Thursday, they'll be doing so without wide receiver Juron Criner.

The embattled wideout, who was the subject of medical rumors all summer long, did not travel with the team to Stillwater.

Head coach Mike Stoops refused to comment on the specific reason, though he did say that Criner had a medical issue earlier in the week. At the time, Stoops had hoped Criner would suit up.

"Our offense, as you can see from a week ago, is not just one player," Stoops said at the start of the week. "Juron has a big-play knack, but we have other players who can make plays."

Arizona WR Dan Buckner will likely get the bulk of the looks in Criner's place.

Criner had 82 catches for 1,233 yards and 11 TDs last year and is expected to be a major part of the Wildcats offense, assuming he can get on the field and beat whatever this medical issue that continues to plague him.
