Whether the black uniforms had anything to do with it or not, the Arizona St. Sun Devils took a 7-3 lead over the Missouri Tigers on the arm of Brock Osweiler. Starting at his own 23-yard line, Osweiler led an aerial attack during the middle of the drive by connecting with Gerell Robinson on a 51-yard reception, putting the team at Missouri's 15-yard line. He found Jamal Miles for a 12-yard touchdown to end the drive.
Osweiler, a 6-foot-8 quarterback, is already 6-of-8 for 113 yards, averaging 14.1 yards per pass attempt. The ground game has just 14 yards so far.
Missouri put together a solid drive after Arizona State's touchdown, but quarterback James Franklin came up short on 3rd-and 2. A bad snap hurt the play, which led to a field goal.
