NFL Draft 2012: Robert Griffin III Will Enter Draft, According To Report

Robert Griffin III has helped resurrect a Baylor program regarded as a doormat and won a Heisman Trophy in Waco, and is now likely to be one of the first quarterbacks selected in the 2012 NFL Draft. ESPN's Chris Mortensen is now reporting that Griffin will enter the 2012 NFL Draft, forgoing his senior year of eligibility at Baylor.

Griffin threw for 4,293 yards and 37 touchdowns in 2011, and added another 699 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. He was regarded as the third-best quarterback prospect in the 2012 NFL Draft class behind Stanford's Andrew Luck and USC's Matt Barkley before Barkley announced his decision to remain at USC for the 2012 season, and could be a top-five or top-10 pick as a result.

Griffin's mobility and accuracy will both be assets for him, but expect NFL scouts to nitpick his mechanics and wonder about his size and durability.
