Oh wait, what were you thinking of? Just this little old thing:
Asked at a news conference whether he'd taken money or valuables from boosters, James said, "It was an insignificant amount that I had when I was at SMU. It was wrong. And I was 18, 19 years old."
James declined to specify what gifts he accepted and how much money, or from whom.
"It was insignificant. It was never," he said, halting in mid-sentence. "I said in my book that if someone came up and shook my hand and there were a $20 bill in it, I didn't have the maturity at that time to turn it away."

Evidence says he took a lot more.
Too bad the agent he got when he turned pro (Sherwood Blount) was the one that set up the slush fund to pay SMU players.

yeah
it’s a great political move.
“I was wrong, but only a little bit wrong, and you would have done the same thing because we all do a little bit wrong all the time, don’t we?”

Hey, its all a front guys
He doesn’t think he can get elected, but he needed to pretend he had another job so ESPN would not have to publicly fire him. The clown was apparently born without integrity. It takes a special kind of ego to think you are qualified to run for office with no experience and a list of doing the wrong thing (SMU, etc) a mile long.
But then again, we elected a President like that so maybe he is crazy like a fox?

It probably was smart of him to admit it, even if its sound pretty half-assed
The “no experience” tag doesn’t bother me, and it shouldn’t you. Can only seasoned politicians make good decisions? THAT is what bothers me about James.
Google's homepage celebrates too much shit.

It doesn't seem to make a difference.
Seasoned politicians or inexperienced politicians: They are all either idiots or in it for personal gain. James will be in like company either way.
