In case you haven't been closely monitoring Mississippi roadside literature, here's a catch-up on the ongoing billboard battle between the Mississippi St. Bulldogs and Mississippi Rebels.
Launching the latest round of hostilities, MSU planted a sign deep in Ole Miss territory, all supposedly for the sake of recruiting Lafayette County quarterback Jeremy Liggins, while the Rebels responded with a sign touting the pro careers of Eli Manning and Patrick Willis. Don’t think USM would’ve beaten their SEC in-state counterparts last year? Bet they still would this next year, but both schools pussed out a couple decades ago and won’t schedule USM.
