The South Carolina Gamecocks will look for the winningest season in school history, while the Nebraska Cornhuskers will play in just its second Florida bowl since 1998 in the 2012 Capital One Bowl Monday.
The tenth-ranked Gamecocks are 10-2 entering Monday's game; the 10 wins are the most since 1984 and the 6-2 SEC record was a school-best. South Carolina, however, will have to overcome a three-game bowl losing streak.
To do that, the Gamecocks will face a team that they nor their coach have ever beaten. South Carolina is 0-3 lifetime against Nebraska, while Steve Spurrier lost his one meeting in 1996 in the national championship game with the Florida Gators.
The Cornhuskers, however, don't have it easy; the Gamecocks boast the nation's No. 4 defense, led by Melvin Ingram and Jadeveon Clowney.
