It appears Penn State could only hold back the deluge for so long. After limiting Case Keenum to just a field goal in the third quarter, the Houston Cougars embarked on a 66-yard drive that culminated with a field goal on the second play of the fourth quarter to push their lead to 30-14 in the TicketCity Bowl on Monday.

The Cougars' score came on the drive immediately after Rob Bolden threw a 69-yard pass to cut the Nittany Lions' deficit to 27-14. But Keenum, who had been limited to "just" 68 yards on the Cougars' first two possessions of the half reverted to form.
The Cougars actually picked up 24 yards rushing on the drive, but the heavy lifting was done by Keenum. At the end of the drive, he was closing in on several bowl records. He has completed 40 of 59 passes for 491 yards.
