Florida keeps putting distance between itself and Ohio State in the 2012 Gator Bowl. It's like the reverse Urban Meyer, or something.
The Gators now hold a 24-10 lead early in the fourth quarter after a Caleb Sturgis field goal capped a long drive that started with an Ohio State fumble. Florida's Loucheiz Purifoy popped the ball out of DeVier Posey's grasp, and the ball bounced around before Joshua Evans recovered it for the Gators.
It was the second turnover forced by the Gators on the day.
The Gator Bowl is also giving college football fans more than the typical share of weirdness. Today's game has featured a kickoff return, a blocked punt for a touchdown, a tipped interception, an incompletion changed to a fumble on replay, and two other fumbles. And Florida's special teams still have more points than either offense.
