Oregon Vs. Wisconsin Update: Touchback Controversy! We've Got Touchback Controversy!

The 2012 Rose Bowl may now officially have it all, as an Oregon Ducks kick return that came darn close to leaving the end zone before being downed for a touchback sure looked like a safety to the assembled Wisconsin Badgers fans. The largely pro-UW crowd booed through the entire Ducks drive, even after the eventual punt (PUNT!), becoming especially riled upon showing of in-stadium replay.

De'Anthony Thomas did come very close to the goal line, but it did appear the correct ruling was made. His foot crossed the line, and the ball touched the line, but the ball didn't break out of the end zone.

Bret Bielema evidently felt he came out, burning through what was already his second time out of the second half in hopes of an overturning.
