Virginia Tech Vs. Michigan Score: David Wilson Backtracks, Hokies Settle

Stay connected with SB Nation

Taking over after a Michigan Wolverines punt, the Virginia Tech Hokies raced into enemy territory thanks to a distribute-y drive by Logan Thomas (along with a patented Thomas forward-falling first down). Primary implements Danny Coale and David Wilson made contributions, but then this happened:

That's a 22-yard loss. Wilson's prone to doing this sort of thing, and it usually works, but that collapse coupled with a delay of game killed an otherwise promising drive. Still, a successful field goal from a third-string kicker has to count as good news.
