Hey, guess what! The Virginia Tech Hokies just drove deep into Michigan Wolverines territory, the fifth time they've done so in the 2012 Sugar Bowl. This time, a third-down pass interference call on Blake Countess prevented Michigan from doing their bend-don't-break thing yet again, and enormous quarterback Logan Thomas plummeted into the end zone for VT's first touchdown of the game.
For ACC fans, this sort of thing has become a familiar sight:
Thomas struck tight end Marcus Davis for the two-point conversion, and now we're all tied up, 17-17. Entirely different ways of reaching 17 points, but it's where you arrive that counts.
With 10 minutes remaining, the Hokies have outgained Michigan by about 130 yards, added seven more first downs, and held the ball for 13 minutes longer.
