With two recruiting targets whose announcements came just minutes apart, the Oklahoma Sooners missed out on massive OT Zach Banner who chose USC. Only to ease the sting shortly there after by convincing CB Zack Sanchez to de-commit from the Baylor Bears.
Sanchez becomes the 22nd member of Oklahoma’s 2012 class and is just the fifth defensive verbal commitment for the Sooners. It’s the second consecutive year the Sooners were able to flip a Baylor commit shortly before National Signing Day after convincing offensive lineman Nila Kasitati to switch on Signing Day last year.
