The West Virginia Mountaineers are now keeping up their end of the Orange Bowl bargain, as they've provided points. Running back Shawn Alston fired four yards up the middle to conclude the 72-yard drive and tie it back up, 7-7.
The key play on the drive: this bounding, 16-yard catch-and-run by Andrew Buie, perhaps a tribute to BCS National Championship Game MVP Michael Dyer:

Credit goes to the line judge for not blowing the whistle while observing whatever that was. Kind of afraid I'd throw up if anybody tackled me like that, but there he goes, just running like it's no big deal. This is why I'm only writing about this game.
Each team has gained 98 yards so far, with 51 minutes remaining. I'd say we're on course.
