Matters being the football, wrenched from running back Andre Ellington as he hurtled for what might've been a touchdown otherwise, with Darwin Cook taking the ball 99 yards the other way.

After replay, it became clear the ball was loose well before Ellington hit the ground. It then meandered throughout various limbs, failing to find a suitable captor before settling upon Cook as its only acceptable handler. Pure Darwinism.
