North Dakota State Vs. Sam Houston State Halftime Score: Not Much Of One

Stay connected with SB Nation

Have we here a preview of the other Division I college football championship game? The score at the half in Frisco, Texas is 6-3 in favor of Sam Houston State over North Dakota State, which is something of a surprise considering these two explosive offenses, both of which are tricky and difficult to prepare for.

There have been two 20-yard plays and a handful of 10-yarders, but the story so far is about these two defenses. Two turnovers by SHSU's D has helped to hem in the Bison.

Tim Flanders has been effective for the Bearkats, racking up 65 yards on 11 carries, but Sam Houston is having a hard time complementing him with anything else. Neither quarterback has passed for more than 75 yards.

Sort of having a hard time convincing anybody to watch this game with me right now, thanks to all of this.
