Jim Tressel didn't land the Indianapolis Colts head coaching job, but shortly after that rumors emerged that Tressel was looking to return to university life by becoming a college administrator. It now appears that Tressel will join the University of Akron in an administrative position, according to Pat Galbincea of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
While Tressel and the university are currently discussing a deal, the Plain Dealer reports that an announcement is set to be made at 10 a.m. ET. The school became interested in adding Tressel when he helped in the school's head coaching search that resulted in the hiring of Terry Bowden.
Tressel had been fired by Ohio State back in May over numerous scandals before joining the Colts as an assistant working in the booth.
