Danny O'Brien In Vanderbilt Media Guide, But Not Vanderbilt Uniform

Here's hoping the Vanderbilt Commodores just keep right on quoting escaped Maryland Terrapins quarterback Danny O'Brien, who's been barred by Randy Edsall from following former OC James Franklin to Vandy:

"Coach was a big factor in my decision (to attend Maryland)," O'Brien said in Vanderbilt's 2011 football media guide. "We have a similar passion for the game, and I thought he was the coach to mold me into the player I thought I could be."

The shame is that O'Brien won't be able to play for the coach he thought could mold him into the player he thought he could be, and will instead have to settle for another coach despite doing nothing wrong. The NCAA! For the student-athlete!
