Ryan Tannehill Injury: QB Expects To Be 100% Before NFL Draft

Stay connected with SB Nation

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was expected to do well in the 2012 NFL Draft, although the former Texas A&M Aggies star may have hurt his stock just a bit due to a broken bone in his foot. The injury caused Tannehill to miss the 2012 Senior Bowl and will keep him out of the NFL Combine.

According to Pat Yasinskas of ESPN, Tannehill is making fast progress in his recovery from the injury. The QB is expected to head to Indianapolis during the Combine for testing and meeting with teams, but will not participate in drills. Tannehill expects to be ready to go in time for his pro-day workout at the end of March.

We'll come back and push it pretty hard. I'm thinking I should be getting close to 100 percent by right after the combine and we'll really jump into the on-field stuff then to make up for the time I missed and get ready for pro day.

Although he will be missing the Combine, it is good news for him that he is healing so quickly. There is still a good chance that he could be selected in the first round.
