Danny O'Brien Delaying Vanderbilt Visit, Randy Edsall Accusing James Franklin

Maryland Terrapins coach Randy Edsall has changed course and will allow Danny O'Brien and two other former Terps to transfer to play for the Vanderbilt Commodores. However, O'Brien is unlikely to rush a Vandy visit, so as not to heap unwanted attention on coach James Franklin, reports Eric Prisbell of the Washington Post.

Franklin now has to contend with a formal tampering charge, raised against him by Edsall, according to the Post. Edsall reportedly filed the complaint with the ACC and sent it along to the SEC. Franklin has previously commented on his continued relationship with all his former players (he was Maryland's offensive coordinator when O'Brien joined the Terps), but has denied any tampering. He did so in forceful, Franklin-esque fashion.

Prisbell also reports O'Brien is expected to visit three schools for the time being. He's been connected to Michigan State, Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Arizona, South Florida and Stanford, based on previous rumors.
