Henry Josey Injury Update: Mizzou Star Running Back Has One Surgery To Go

Stay connected with SB Nation

Missouri Tigers running back Henry Josey -- who underwent perhaps the 2011 college football season's most gruesome injury, though this isn't a competition -- is progressing nicely, according to Tigers offensive coordinator David Yost.

Josey, who led the Big 12 in rushing through 10 games, will still need one more surgery to repair his triple-torn knee, but Yost has high hopes:

"He's doing tremendous on his rehab," said Missouri Tigers offensive coordinator David Yost. "He is working as hard in there as our guys working in the weight room to get himself back."

Josey still has a redshirt option to fall back on should he be unable to complete his rehab in time for the 2012 season. With SEC defenses looming, that might not be such a bad thing after all. One way or the other, we should get to see Josey on the field again some day.
