2012 College Football Hall Of Fame Ballot Includes Orlando Pace, Phil Fulmer

The College Football Hall of Fame has released its 2012 list of potential nominees, in case anybody out there didn't infer that from the title above.

It's College Football Hall of Fame ballot time, with the 2012 list freshly released by the National Football Foundation. Joining the ballot this year are Ohio St. Buckeyes tackle Orlando Pace, Florida Gators quarterback Danny Wuerffel, Tennessee Volunteers coach Phil Fulmer, Notre Dame Fighting Irish weapon Raghib Ismail, BYU Cougars quarterback Ty Detmer, Nebraska Cornhuskers linebacker Trev Alberts, and several others. Returning are Huskers quarterback Tommie Frazier and ... well, several others.

The 2012 class will be announced on May 15 and inducted on December 4.

Last year's class was headlined by Michigan Wolverines coach Lloyd Carr, Florida St. Seminoles cornerback Deion Sanders, and Miami Hurricanes defensive tackle Russell Maryland. Here's a list of all current inductees, while we're at it.

Never really sure who the automatic steel pipe locks of the week are with this sort of thing, but if Pace and Frazier can't make it in, nobody else can either. Pace was a Heisman finalist despite being an offensive lineman, and Frazier is the only quarterback in the last 50 years to win consecutive national titles. Say no more. Say more if you really want.
