Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill figures to be the third quarterback off the board in the 2012 NFL Draft behind Stanford's Andrew Luck and Baylor's Robert Griffin III. While the destinations of Luck and Griffin III are pretty much known at this point, Tannehill's landing spot is a tougher question to answer.
The highest he could go, barring an unforeseen trade, would be the Cleveland Browns with the fourth pick. Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports that Tannehill will take a pre-draft visit with the Browns.
The Browns, and every other NFL team, are allowed to bring in 30 players for pre-draft visits.
Tannehill in Cleveland makes some sense. The Browns were never in on the Peyton Manning sweepstakes and weren't able to sign Matt Flynn in free agency (if they were even interested in him). They tried to trade up to the second second pick but the St. Louis Rams dealt that pick to the Washington Redskins.
Maybe the fourth pick would be a little high for Tannehill but teams reach on quarterbacks every year because there are so few good ones available.
