Meet Rowdy Batchelor, listed as a 2012 NFL Draft prospect on ESPN.com. To call him a prospect might be overstating it -- Batchelor was more of a blocking fullback with little in the way of measurable statistics. He is, however, a star, no matter what happens in the NFL Draft.↵
More important than anything else, Batchelor is almost certainly an all-name team candidate. What better name could one have that Rowdy? And when paired with a last name of Batchelor -- get it, Bachelor? -- it's a formula for a Name of the Year candidate.
Rowdy has the ability to go toe-to-toe with Dee Liner, Philander Moore, Godspower Offor and Hawaii native Wave Ryder as one of the greatest names to join the college ranks. It's a shame Batchelor has been under-the-radar for so long, but now that he's eligible for the NFL Draft, we may need to add his name to the pad full of players to keep an eye on. Here's hoping someone can tame this wild fullback and make an honest man out of him yet.
