Don't Expect Too Many Points At Georgia's Spring Game

Stay connected with SB Nation

Georgia Bulldogs fans are known to blame offensive coordinator Mike Bobo for stalled drives, turnovers, transfers, lens flare, opossums spotted during day hours, underburnt mac 'n' cheese, swamp gases, pollen counts and Brooks Conrad's fielding, but they can't blame him for this:

Georgia's offense, which is led by quarterback Aaron Murray, has been overmatched at times this spring when lining up against a defense that returns nine starters.

Georgia is rebuilding its offensive line. That has led to some ugly matchups against All-America outside linebacker Jarvis Jones and massive defensive tackles John Jenkins and Kwame Geathers.

Those aren't nine slouches, either, as UGA's defense ranked No. 5 in the country last year. Assuming the Dawgs can keep from losing any more standouts due to suspensions, the SEC East could be a sluggish, suffocating endeavor again this year.
